Use the WHOIS website to find out info on the domain that the freebie originated from. You can check when the site was made.. who owns it.. .. address.. phone number etc. This can be a big help. If you suspect a freebie is suspicious check it there. Some telltale signs of a bad freebie are domains that were created quite recently.... fake addresses or phone numbers (wrong postal codes or prefixes for that area)... wrong company details.... etc... It's really easy. Just go to www.whois.com . There is a box near the top of the page to enter the website, and it will do the lookup for you. It will take you to a page where it will tell you that the domain is or is not available for sale, then at the bottom of that page you can click a link to find the information like I mentioned above.... Hope that helps!

* Elmer's Glue -- paint on your face, allow it to dry, peel off and see the dead skin and blackheads... if any

* Shiny Hair - rinse in brewed Lipton Tea

* Sunburn -- empty a large jar of instant Nestea into your bath water (or you can pour club soda over area for relief)

* Minor burn -- Colgate or Crest toothpaste

* Burn your tongue? Put sugar on it!

* Bee stings - apply meat tenderizer

* Chigger bite -- Preparation H

* Puffy eyelids -- Preparation H (avoid eyes)

* Pam will also remove paint, and grease from your hands! Keep a can in your garage and shop

* Peanut butter will remove ink from the face of dolls

* When the doll clothes are hard to put on, sprinkle with cornstarch

* Heavy dandruff - rinse scalp with vinegar!

* Body paint -- Crisco mixed with food coloring. Heat the Crisco in the microwave, pour into an empty 35 mm film container and mix with the food color of your choice and allow to cool.

* Tie-dye T-shirts -- Mix a solution of Kool Aid in a container, tie a rubber band around a section of the T-shirt and soak

* Preserving a newspaper clipping -- large bottle of club soda and 1/2 cup of milk of magnesia -- soak for 20 min. and let dry, will last for many years!

* A Slinky will hold toast and CD's!

* To keep goggles and glasses from fogging, coat with Colgate toothpaste and wipe clean.

* Wine stains -- pour on the Morton salt and watch it absorb into the salt.

* To remove wax - Iron a paper towel over the wax stain, the heat will cause the wax to absorb into the towel.

* Remove labels off glassware etc. -- rub with peanut butter!

* Baked on food - Fill the container with water, put in a Bounce static remover and softener sheet. Soak overnight. The static from the Bounce towel will cause the baked on food to adhere to it. Also you can use 2 Efferdent tablets, soak overnight!

* Crayon on the wall -- Colgate toothpaste and brush it!

* Dirty grout - Listerine.

* Stains on clothes - Colgate toothpaste.

* Grass stains -- Karo Syrup. Rub in, let soak and wash.

* Grease Stains- Coca Cola, it will also remove grease stains from the driveway overnight. We know it will take corrosion from batteries!

* Fleas in your carpet? 20 Mule Team Borax: sprinkle and let stand for 2-4 hours. Maybe this will work if you get them back again.

* To keep FRESH FLOWERS longer, add a little Clorox or 2 Bayer
aspirin in the water. Or just use 7-up instead of water.

When you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which is the freshest? So did you "squeeze" for softness to determine freshness?
Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week?
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a
different color twist tie. They are: M - Blue, Tu - Green, Th - Red, F
- White, S -Yellow. So if today were Thursday, you would want red twist tie -- not white which is Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue - Green - Red - White -Yellow, Monday through Saturday. It's very easy to remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the one with the plastic clips have different colors.

You learn something new everyday!!! Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.

Daily Life

As most of you know I have been diagnosed with Carcenoid Tumor in my Liver that is inoperable. I am currently undergoing chemo-therapy treatments in hopes of shrinking it away. This once rare type of Cancer has lead me to more research into what is happening in my body and others who have this treatable albeit not curable Cancer.

Well, June 23rd Mark and I ventured to Lawrenceville after helping move our eldest son David into his new home. There is a new place and it is named America's Red Robin Gourmet Burgers & Spirits . I was on the internet, (go figure) and found out that they have a Birthday Club . You know me and freebies of any kind go hand in hand! I signed up everyone in the family all on one easy signup sheet.
Walking into this place was a kids dream come true a nook where kids can gather and play games before their food arrives. Balloons adorned the ceiling with ribbons floating casually in the air above our heads. Colorful figures reminded me of shows of yesteryears. Booths or tables everywhere a cozy seat, inviting you to sit and stay.
Mark decided to try the 5-Alarm Burger with Pepper-Jack cheese, jalapeños, fresh tangy salsa, sliced tomato, crisp lettuce and Chipotle mayo. It comes with a bottomless portion of Steak Fries!!! Yummy. Two Budweisers later he exclaimed it was very filling and would come back for more.
I decided to try one of the "Knife and Forkers" on the menu the Bruger Parmigiana. What was I thinking? Wow this thing was huge. I could not pick it up, this burger was topped with a crisply-fried Mozzarella wheel, sautéed sweet peppers and onions, garlic mayo and Parmesan cheese. We then add the final touch, a rich, red tomato sauce. It is also available with Crispy or Grilled Chicken Breast. It was served with a side of Bottomless Garlic/Parmesan Steak Fries. I just wonder who has ever ate the whole thing and wanted more fries? Certainly not me I cut it into quarters and ate one with half the fries and ended up bring the remainder of the sandwich home. Yummy!!
While Mark is more imbibed, I on the other hand went for the cool fancy drink called the Freckled Lemonade. While they boost on the menu "Pucker up to this refreshing blend of sweet strawberries & tangy Minute Maid® lemonade. Bottomless Refills!" I found this drink sad, the strawberries were left to sit in the glass and become soft and soggy. My only suggestion is to slice them right as the drink is being made and place on top like the picture on the menu sports.
I give this establishment a thumbs up for atmosphere, fun and food. As far as the drinks they will need to work on that part.

Biba's Italian Restaurant The service, atmosphere and quality of food and presentation were excellent! We highly recommend their newest location in Braselton, Ga. We had the "16 Pizza with Meatball, Mushrooms and Onions. All of their ingredients are fresh and they chopped them all so small we were not struggling with them as we normally do from other vendors. The crust is so light and the the grease factor is non-existent! Such a refreshing pizza, we were wondering what took us so long to find this place. We shared the pizza, our waitress brought us an endless basket of fresh light and tasty fresh garlic rolls (yummy), I had a coke and Mark had a beer. All for under $25.00 for all of this!!! I forgot to try their Cannoli but you can guarantee next time I will leave room for dessert. I would recommend this facility for your next corporate, family, date or any situation you want great service, food and ambiance!! Way to go Krist Biba!
